The Haitian people are frustrated. They have a right to be frustrated. And they have the right to protest. But we must respect private property. We must respect the law. We must respect the rights of others.

I ask the Haitian people ... to be mature, to be responsible, to be nonviolent.

In the past, the army caused trouble. There is no such organized force today.
